Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ½ onion, sliced
- ½ carrot, sliced
- 1 garlic clove, sliced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 250g/8ľoz rump steak
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- ½ ciabatta, sliced in half and toasted
Recipe Steps
- In a frying pan, heat the oil and slowly cook the onion and carrot with the garlic.
- Heat a hot griddle pan. Rub the oil onto the steak and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Cook for two minutes and then turn over and cook for another two minutes on the opposite side.
- Remove and rest the steak for two minutes
- Spread the Dijon mustard on the ciabatta and place the steak in the middle of the bread. Serve with the cooked vegetables
